So I went to a restaurant today with my family and I got a Coke Zero bottle. I looked at the ingredients out of boredom and I noticed that the last ingredient in the ingredients label was Stevia Extract, which I had never seen in a Coke Zero before

A Coca-Cola Zero Sugar bottle turned to show the ingredients label which reads: Carbonated Water, Caramel Color, Phosphoric Acid, Aspartame, Potassium Benzoate (to protect flavor), Natural Falvors, Potassium Citrate, Acesulfate Potassium, Caffeine, Stevia Extract. Phenylketonurics: Contains Phenylalanine. Caffeine Content: 57mg/20 fl oz

After we went to the restaurant, we stopped at a local Walmart so someone could make a return, and I was also invited to go in and get something for myself too, so I took that as an opportunity to check the ingredients of the Coke Zero products there as well

  • The regular Coke Zero was the same one I got in the restaurant, in the exact same order too
  • The Coke Zero Orange Cream had Acesulfate Potassium ahead of Aspartame and also decided to use Sucralose too, which is lower than the other two. I also noticed it uses Sodium Citrate instead of Potassium Citrate
  • The Coke Zero Cherry looks like it’s the same as regular Coke Zero but the Potassium Citrate and Acesulfate Potassium switched places
  • And because it’s the same company I checked out Sprite Zero label too, and while the sweeteners usually were high up for all the Coke drinks, both the Aspartame and Acesulfate Potassium were the bottom two ingredients
  • Only regular Coke Zero had stevia by the way, none of the other ones had it
